Biography

Adam Riess carried out much of the analysis that revealed cosmic acceleration for the High-z Supernova Search Team in 1998. He has since led precise measurements of the universe's expansion rate that hint at gaps in our cosmological model. He shared the 2011 Nobel Prize in Physics.
